On 28 January 2009, the Commission adopted a proposal for a Directive amending the VAT Directive as regards the rules of invoicing. FEE has contributed to the debate during the preceding online consultation process.
Furthermore, the Commission has set up an expert group on e-invoicing with the task to establish a European Electronic Invoicing Framework by 2009. On 27 January 2009 this expert group adopted a mid-term report.
