Brussels, 25 July 2014 – FEE (Fédération des Experts-comptables Européens – Federation of European Accountants) congratulates the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) for completing the reform of financial instruments accounting.

Yesterday (24 July 2014) the IASB issued the long waiting final text of IFRS 9 which includes all 3 phases of the standard – Classification and measurement, Impairment and Hedge accounting.

Following the release of the final text FEE is committed to carefully analysing the new provisions in the standard, their implementation and their (possible) impact and to coordinate with other European and International constituents to facilitate the transition to the new accounting principles and requirements.
