Our dedicated SME team is driving Accountancy Europe SME agenda on the both the policy and expertise front and in close collaboration with our SME governance. Get to know them or connect with them:

Team

Johan BarrosJohan Barros manages Accountancy Europe’s SME strategy. With five years of experience in EU affairs and advocacy, he has helped raise awareness on the role and relevance of the accountancy profession on tax and financial services. He notably led our SME financing work with particular focus on prospectuses of small entities, SME listings and access to alternative forms of finance.

 

 

 

Paul Gisby supervises Accountancy Europe’s SME strategy. He acted for 25 years for SMEs in accounting, audit, tax, business advisory and investment advice, 13 years as a partner of an SMP. At Accountancy Europe, he also leads the work on tax and public sector, and is responsible for ESG reporting matters.

 

 

 

 

Governance

Our dedicated SME governance structure works in close coordination with the SME Team. They ensure the delivery of the SME strategy through their strategic leadership and coordinate on SME priorities across our vast membership.

Jens Poll - Accountancy Europe

Jens Poll is a Vice President of Accountancy Europe and a current member of the Ethics Board (IESBA). He also serves as Non-Executive Director and Audit Committee Chair in several medium-sized companies with global activities. For 20 years, Jens has been a managing partner of a medium-sized accountancy and law firm and was a member and Vice Chair of the IFAC SMP Committee. He presently serves as independent Chair of the European Group of International Accounting Networks and Associations (EGIAN)

 

 

 

Alessandro Solidoro is a Vice President of Accountancy Europe and a member of the Board of the Italian Order of Chartered Accountants and Auditors (CNDCEC) . He is owner of Studio Solidoro, an accountancy firm in Milan, Italy and benefits from a thorough professional experience in business restructuring, technical consultancy in litigations, governance and statutory auditing activities for medium-sized and large organisations.

 

 

 

Martin de Bie is the digitalisation expert of the Accountancy Europe SME team. He is also part of our SME and Technology Networks and a representative of the Dutch NBA. Martin is currently Advisor Innovation at 216, a data-driven accounting firm in the Netherlands and has been working in the field of technology, SMEs and SMPs for almost 30 years. Martin is part of several national and international technology networks and presently involved with the Accounttech movement in Europe.

 

 


Florin Toma a former President of Accountancy Europe and the managing partner of JPA in Romania, part of the JPA international network. Florin is an experienced expert accountant and certified auditor, member of the CECCAR and CAFR, for over 20 years. He has been contributing to the profession ever since, most notably as a member of the IFAC SMP Committee.
