POSTPONED: Taxing smart, taxing green

Accountancy Europe and MEP Marek Belka (S&D/Poland) will organise a breakfast roundtable at the European Parliament on green taxation.

With the European Commission planning to review Europe’s energy taxation framework, we will discuss what should be the EU’s green taxation priorities, and exchange views on possible policy options. We will be joined by Femke Groothuis, from the Ex’tax Project, who will present ideas on taxing pollution and resource use instead of the workforce. The tax system can support the green transition of our economy.
