Consultation response to European Commission on services passport

We think that the Services Passport could be an important step to unlock the full potential of the EU Single Market for services. Providing accountancy services across borders is now hindered by various administrative and regulatory barriers. We therefore urge to remove the unnecessary hurdles, while retaining those that protect the consumer and the public interest.

Nevertheless, the major obstacle to operating cross-border is still the differences in company law, social security law, tax regimes, and language.
