The Legal Affairs Committee (JURI) of the European Parliament has voted to approve a report on the proposal to revise the Directive on statutory audit of annual accounts and consolidated accounts (amending Council Directives 78/660/EEC and 83/349/EEC). Bert Doorn, the rapporteur of the Committee on Legal Affairs will discuss the report with the EU Council ahead of the European Parliament’s plenary vote, expected to take place in September 2005.
