Jeroen Dijsselbloem, Eurogroup chair and Dutch Minister of Finance  addressed the European accountancy profession who were hosted by The Netherlands Institute of Chartered Accountants in Amsterdam today. He shared his vision on the future of auditing after the recent regulatory reform, followed by a lively Q&A with the leaders of 47 professional European accountancy bodies.  The joint efforts of European accountants are crucial in integrating EU capital markets and improving European public financial management. Minister Dijsselbloem reinforced the need for European accountants to keep contributing to this debate. Offering new perspectives and restoring trust must remain the top priorities for European accountants. He called upon the member organisations to work together to create a healthy and valuable profession.
